

All Young Men Must Go As I toyed with my quickly cooling scrambled eggs, I could hear my father rambling on about how proud of me me he was. I couldn't help but chuckle. All my life I tried so hard to make him proud of me and now when I have done nothing but be drafted for a war I don't believe in, he is proud. Mom put down the dishes she had been washing and walked out of the kitchen. Before I heard her bedroom door shut, I heard her start to cry. My Little SparrowThere was a sparrow I was given. It was the most beautiful bird in all the skys, and it's song was the sweetest that my ears ever did hear. I loved my sparrow with all my being but sadly the sparrow seemed not to be at ease. I was told I could keep this sparrow that made my broken heart beat once more, or I could set it free and see if it comes back to me because it wishes to do so. I looked at my sparrow, it looked sad, as if it wished to be set free to carry out it's own dreams. So I let my sparrow go, I watched as it flew away and I wished it the best of luck.
